By “Striving for Simple” I do not mean living with less ‘things’. We have two littles and I am all about convenience! I am referring to living with less chemicals and additives in our food, using oil infused and chemical free cleaning supplies, and switching to chemical free beauty products. It hasn’t been the easiest or cheapest option and I haven’t always made the best decisions when it comes to what is right for our family. I am constantly learning what I should rid ourselves of and what we should use in place of those said items (hello Young Living!). While doing all these things I am also trying to stay within a budget that fits our family. Along this journey I discovered that I had a passion for making personalized gifts that represent how we are trying to live. That is where I decided to make DIY bath and beauty products for resale. I had been researching different recipes for months but just hadn’t committed to actually doing it. It was Christmas time and I wanted a special gift for my son’s teachers. Using simple ingredients and my favorite essential oils, I made personalized gifts for them and guess what? They loved them! I posted pictures on FB of my work and my friends loved them too and the requests for orders started coming in. The best part? I LOVE doing it!
After the holidays I co-hosted a baby shower for one my bestie’s from high school. I had so much fun making the decorations and party favors. The shower turned out great! Since then I have been asked to be a party decorator for events. I am not only making decorations for events, but I am also crafting personalizing party favors and/or presents. Once again, I am loving it!
This page will not only be about the parties I am decorating or the simple ingredient products I am making for resale but also products I find useful for our family that you can buy at the store or online. I will share DIY ideas that I like so you can too try them. Also, lets not forget about food! I will post recipes that are made with simple ingredients but yummy because this momma likes to eat!
